Collective worship is held at different times each day. On the first Wednesday of each month collective worship is held at St Cleopas Church. Celebration assemblies are held on a regular basis and parents are invited to attend. “Pupil of the Week” is also celebrated during a Friday afternoon collective worship.

At the end of the day Infants must be collected by an adult. As the cloakroom areas are so small we ask parents to wait outside the doors when collecting their children.

Food and drink

All pupils are given a piece of fruit after morning play and children up to Year 4 also have the opportunity to drink milk. All children have their own bottle of water which is refilled each day. Children may drink this whenever they feel thirsty; other drinks from home should not be brought in.

Sweets, chocolate and crisps are not to be brought into school, not even in packed lunches. The school has produced a separate Packed Lunch Policy for further explanation.

Excellent school dinners are available in school (we have just regained the Healthy Schools award and received 'Outstanding' in our October Kitchen audit). We are committed to every child having a free hot meal each day. Breakfast club is also free and there is additional sports provision before and after school. Children staying for a packed lunch should bring their lunch in a container clearly marked with the child’s name and class, they are also welcome to have soup or desert according to their preferences. Glass bottles and containers should not be brought in. Water is always available for the children to drink. If your child wishes to change between school dinners and packed lunch one week’s notice must be given.
