This term we will be exploring prayer as a way of communicating with God. We will also look at the Christian belief that God listens and responds to prayer.

This term we will be focusing on the significance of the incidents of betrayal and trust in the Easter story. We will have the opportunity to reflect upon the importance of power and the effect of betrayal, trust and forgiveness. We will also explore our understanding of the concept of salvation.

This term we will be visiting St Cleopas Church and at least one other Church from a different denomination. We will explore Churches and community life around the world. We will also explore in more detail, the symbolism of the Church including artefacts and colours.

We explored features of a Church building in the Anglican Cathedral. Can you name these features and explain their importance in a Church?
This term we will exploring the belief that Jesus is the Light of the World, reading from the Gospel of John. We will also explore how Christians reflect the light of Jesus in their lives, as well as looking at Christingle services and sybolism.

God, David and the Psalms
This term we will be discussing the values which are important to us. We will read and retell stories of David from the Bible and consider the qualities of kingship and friendship. We will also explore the nature of God and create images to illustrate the Psalms.
Which values do you consider to be important? Who inspires you? What are the qualities of a good King? What is God like?
