Before learning how to increasing our speed in mental maths using a range of different strategies, we first had to brain storm the facts we already knew about numbers. These really helped us as we were able to use the phrase- "If I know that 8 x 7 is 56 then I also know that...".
This week we have been learning about rounding. We used Cuisenaire rods and a rhyme to work out whether numbers rounded up or down.
