Lung capacity

Balloontastic Investigation

Who knew you could use balloons to measure your lung capacity. Not as accurate as using a spirometry, which a doctor would use, but still lots of fun. The children record 3 readings and used those readings to create a graph. From the graph they identified any patterns or groups of children that had a better set of lungs. As a class we also discussed what groups may be at a disadvantage and why this would be.
