Reflection Investigations

Task 1: Symmetry or not to symmetry!

Today we had an investigation day all about Reflection.

In Maths we had our photoraphs taken then cut our faces in half and stuck one half on paper, we had to draw our face

with a line of symmetry.

We had to put what we could see on one side to put on the other so when we put the mirror on the line of symmetry we could check if they were the same. Check out our pictures.

Task 2: Mirror Writing

In our investigation task 2 we wrote a message in our books only 4 words long. Then we put a mirror  behind the words and then wrote what we could see in the mirror, and not the writing. then we covered the words and asked other children to read the reflection words and see if they could read it.

Task 3.  Skylines of Liverpool

In task 3 we looked at the skyline of Liverpool and the buildings we have on the  water front. The children drew the buildings then drew them on black paper making the buildings have a reflection in t he water, Using coloured chalk the children make the sky in bold colours and glued the black skyline to the coloured sky and sea. What do you think?
