In these areas of the curriculum children are developing the crucial knowledge, skills and understanding that enable them to consider the world in which they live, both past and present.
We offer the children valuable first hand experiences that encourage opportunities for exploration, observation, problem solving, prediction, critical thinking, decision making and discussion.
To enhance their learning many resources are available, including ICT, which stimulate the children’s interest and curiosity in the subjects studied. We regularly support this learning with visits to relevant locations, such as The Dogs’ Trust, Liverpool Maritime Museum, the World Museum, and our local parks and areas of interest. We also welcome visitors into the classroom, such as the Park Rangers and the Police, to extend the children’s knowledge.
