Billy Goats Gruff

To support world book day on March 5th the nursery children are sharing the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff. They are going to be focusing on the repetitive story language used and will have the opportunity to use puppets and masks and our trip trap bridge to reenact the story.  This story also supports early mathematical development and the children will be learning about the number three and its value by practising counting different quantities of three objects. The children will also be learning and using prepositional language, hiding the troll in the outdoor area and directing the goats to find him.  On Thursday 5th March the children are invited to dress up as a character or setting from the story. Some ideas are listed below:

-Troll

-Billy Goat

-Water-(dress in blue)

-Grassy meadow

-Flowers
